Gary Zuker used Alexander’s book ‘A Pattern Language’ to design his home [more pictures and video at www.naturalhomes.org/timeline/garyzuker.htm] incorporating 118 of the 253 patterns in the book. Gary also suggested a few of his own patterns like, “You can’t build something beautiful if your mind is on the clock”. The house is built using clay, straw, stone and roundwood.
